Summary:
Responsible for controlling an assigned game in an efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations.
Essential Functions:
Conduct assigned game according to department procedures. Handle guest transactions for buyins and payoffs. Notify supervisor of any irregularities noted in guest play and of other transactions during shift. Ensure compliance with all departmental, company, gaming, state and federal laws, policies, procedures and any other applicable rules and regulations; will also enforce all required safety codes. Must maintain confidentiality. Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): Must be at least 18 years or older. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and guests of the casino. Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide; also may compute discounts, fractions, ratios and percentages. Must possess a current and valid Tribal Gaming License. Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training upon hire and annually. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to speak basic English. Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Ability to learn and deal all the table games offered. Must pass a Dealer audition which may include a math test. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Physical Demands /
Work Environment:
Manual and finger dexterity for handling of routine paperwork and daily Table Game duties. Ability to occasionally sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach. Frequently works near or around mechanical moving parts. Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment. Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior. Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts. These requirements need to be met to represent knowledge, skill and ability to perform job functions.
