Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Field Technician specializing in construction and heavy equipment! In this energetic role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment. Your expertise will ensure our customers' equipment operates smoothly and efficiently, keeping their projects on track. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) machinery and develop your skills in fabrication, hydraulics, electrical systems, and more. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components Conduct fabrication tasks including welding, soldering, and assembly to repair or modify equipment as needed Operate heavy machinery safely during diagnostics or repair procedures to ensure proper functioning post-service Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for each piece of equipment Assist customers by providing technical guidance on vehicle maintenance and operation best practices Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete repair tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards Requirements Proven dealership experience or background working with OEM construction or industrial equipment is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabricating, welding, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift, tractor-trailer operations, HVAC systems, diesel engines, brake repair, alignment services, suspension work, and tire service Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex machinery issues Experience with automotive diagnostics combined with general vehicle maintenance skills Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various outdoor environments safely Valid driver's license with experience operating heavy equipment is a plus Join us if you're passionate about heavy machinery repair and eager to grow your career in a fast-paced dealership environment!
