Position Summary:
We're seeking a pastry cook to join our kitchen brigade. This is a hands-on, learning-focused position ideal for someone with a solid baking foundation who's ready to deepen their skills in a professional, detail-driven environment. You'll work closely with our pastry chef to produce plated desserts, pastries, and other specialty items that reflect the essence of Rêve.
Responsibilities:
Follow precise recipes to create consistent, high-quality pastries and plated desserts. Set up and maintain a clean, well-organized pastry station. Operate professional kitchen equipment including stand mixers, scales, and ovens. Receive and execute direction from the pastry chef with focus and reliability. Support daily production and prep tasks as part of the team.
Requirements:
Basic baking and kitchen knowledge (including reading recipes, measuring ingredients, and safe use of standard equipment). Familiarity with tools such as stand mixers, piping bags, and baking molds. Willingness to learn, take feedback, and uphold fine dining standards. A strong eye for detail and consistency.
Preferred But Not Required:
Knife skills or previous pastry/kitchen experience. Understanding of French pastry styles or plated dessert presentation.
