Food Truck Chef About Us:

Fairhope Fish House is dedicated to bringing the freshest Gulf Seafood to our community. We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Food Truck Chef to join our team and help us delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes from our menu, including Gulf ceviche, tuna poke, smoked fish dip, and more. Being able to break down whole fish is a plus. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing, ensuring the use of fresh, seasonal products. Collaborate with and train team members to uphold our standards of service and quality. Interact with customers to provide a friendly and memorable dining experience. Participate in food truck events, festivals, and private catering as needed. Manage food inventory and assist with logistics and set-up for each location.

Qualifications:

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food service industry, with previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role. Passion for seafood and familiarity with seasonal ingredients and local sourcing. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and health standards (ServSafe certification preferred). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for engaging with customers. Experience with marketing and social media is a plus, especially using photography and video to promote dishes.
