Yes A longstanding and respected private club in Tuscaloosa currently undergoing a strategic revitalization, is seeking a talented and visionary Executive Chef to lead its culinary program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a chef who is passionate about elevating the member dining experience while honoring the traditions of an established club. The Executive Chef will play a critical role in redefining the club's food & beverage identity as part of its broader transformation.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef at a private club, luxury hotel, or high-end restaurant Strong background in a la carte dining, banquet execution, and member-focused culinary programming Demonstrated success leading culinary teams through change, growth, or concept evolution Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, food cost control, labor management, and purchasing Passion for mentorship, team development, and fostering a positive kitchen culture Ability to balance elevated cuisine with approachability and consistency in a private club environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a refreshed culinary vision aligned with the club's revitalization efforts Collaborate with club leadership to enhance the overall Food & Beverage experience Oversee menu design, recipe standardization, sourcing, and product quality Manage food and labor costs, inventory controls, and purchasing processes Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a high-performing culinary team Ensure the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and kitchen organization Engage with membership through interactive events, chef features, and creative programming to strengthen member satisfaction and participation
