The ideal candidate will have strong kitchen management experience, leadership skills, and a passion for providing high-quality meals in a healthcare environment. This position requires open availability, including some weekends and holidays. The Head Chef will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, overseeing inventory and ordering, and ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and in compliance with dietary and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and quality standards Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations Manage inventory, food ordering, and kitchen supplies Monitor portion control and minimize food waste Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment Coordinate meal service schedules and kitchen workflow Assist with menu planning and special dietary accommodations Ensure proper storage and handling of food products Transport or pick up supplies as needed using company-approved procedures Qualifications Previous experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role required Strong kitchen management and oversight experience required Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, hospitality, or institutional food service preferred Active ServSafe Certification required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed Open availability, including some weekends and holidays, required Schedule Full-time Flexible schedule based on facility needs Some weekends and holidays required Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Career growth opportunities Supportive team environment We are looking for a reliable and motivated culinary professional who takes pride in delivering quality meals and maintaining high kitchen standards in a healthcare setting.
