In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests, blending traditional techniques with innovative flair. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering excellence in every roll and sashimi slice. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all preparation areas. Develop new sushi recipes and presentation styles to keep menus fresh and exciting. Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood and other perishables. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours. Educate team members on sushi techniques and culinary best practices to foster skill development. Uphold consistent quality control for all dishes served, ensuring customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine. Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling. Ability to develop innovative sushi recipes and adapt to menu changes. Excellent classroom management skills for training junior staff or apprentices. Experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus for team collaboration. Culinary experience that includes knowledge of seafood safety, sanitation standards, and food presentation. Demonstrated ability to manage inventory efficiently and maintain cleanliness standards rigorously. Passion for culinary arts, especially sushi making, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
