• Part-time, Full-time OBON is currentlly in search of highly motivated individuals to be a part of our sushi program.

We take passion into out food, quality, and presentation. Given the times we are in, we are adapting to what our guests want and making way to a new culinary outlook on Japanese cuisine. We are looking for experienced sushi chefs with the ability to handle high volume, able to follow direction, maintain cleanliness, and that are reliable. Sushi experience is a must, must have great knife skills, great kitchen etiquette, communication, and a basic culinary background to apply. Should have knowledge of basic japanese cuisine including fish, stocks, sauces, produce, and cooking methods. Please have your own sashimi/sushi knives. Pay will be determined upon experience and skill set.

Tasks include:

Porter duties (putting away deliveries) Food preparation Seafood butchery Food production Maintaining a clean work environment Keeping station stocked Keeping restaurant in accordance to health standards Required traits in candidates: Being coachable Willingness to learn Positive energy Good attitude Punctuality We are not looking for individuals with the most experience, we are looking for individuals who can provide the best service, who have the ability to learn, follow instructions efficiently, and above all, who have the desire to grow and be the best in the industry. We can teach skills, we cannot teach attitude and effort.
