We're known for our energetic atmosphere and quality food. We're currently looking for a skilled Sushi Chef to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a sushi chef at Zu Izakaya, you'll be responsible for preparing fresh sushi, rolls, and sashimi with precision, consistency, and creativity. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all types of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness Ensure proper storage and handling of all sushi ingredients Manage prep and inventory for sushi station Keep a clean and organized workspace Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Follow all health and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience as a sushi chef required Knowledge of knife skills, sushi rice prep, and fish handling Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to work quickly and cleanly under pressure Food Handler Card required Must be available evenings and weekends
