The Executive Chef will be responsible for culinary leadership, menu development, financial performance, team development, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and execution. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for premium ingredients, dry-aged and specialty beef programs, scratch cooking, and creating memorable dining experiences while effectively managing a high-volume, high-revenue operation. Key ResponsibilitiesCulinary Leadership & Menu Development Lead all culinary operations including à la carte dining, private events, chef's tables, and special programming Develop and execute innovative menus while honoring classic steakhouse traditions Oversee steak aging programs, premium beef sourcing, seafood offerings, and seasonal menu enhancements Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality across all menu items Collaborate with ownership and management on concept evolution and guest experience initiatives Kitchen Operations Direct all kitchen functions including production, purchasing, inventory, sanitation, and quality control Establish and maintain standard recipes, preparation methods, and plating standards Ensure efficient kitchen workflow and execution during high-volume service periods Monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen safety programs Financial Management Manage food cost, labor cost, and kitchen operating expenses Develop annual budgets and forecasts for culinary operations Analyze purchasing trends and negotiate with vendors to maximize quality and profitability Control waste and implement inventory management best practices Leadership & Talent Development Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing culinary teams Develop Sous Chefs and future culinary leaders Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and culinary excellence Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout culinary operations Oversee preparation and execution for inspections, audits, and certifications Guest Experience Participate in VIP dining experiences and guest engagement opportunities Support wine dinners, tasting events, and special culinary programming Respond to guest feedback and continuously improve culinary offerings Required Qualifications 7+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience with at least 3 years as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-end steakhouse, luxury hotel, or fine dining restaurant Strong expertise in premium beef programs, butchery, dry-aging, and steak preparation techniques Proven experience managing high-volume culinary operations with annual revenues exceeding $8 million preferred Strong financial acumen including food cost, labor management, and budgeting Exceptional leadership and team development skills Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Preferred Qualifications Culinary degree from an accredited culinary institution Experience in nationally recognized steakhouses or luxury hospitality environments Knowledge of wine pairings and luxury dining service standards Experience with private dining, banquet, and special event operations Compensation & Benefits Competitive executive salary Performance-based bonus opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Dining privileges and employee discounts Professional development opportunities Relocation assistance
