The Drake, long celebrated in Laguna Beach as Orange County's premier intimate dining and live music experience, is bringing its unique blend of culinary artistry, supper-club style ambiance, and world-class live music to West Hollywood (near Beverly Hills) with the opening of The Drake On Sunset . The Drake On Sunset will offer contemporary American cuisine with European influences, together with seasonally inspired menus, scratch-made desserts, and inventive plates that pair seamlessly with nightly performances of jazz, R&B, blues, and beyond. We are seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative cuisine, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage inventory control, and ensure that our culinary oerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the culinary team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment. Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes. Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food products. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen sta on culinary techniques, safety practices, and hospitality standards. Coordinate with banquet services to plan and execute large-scale events eectively. Maintain cost control measures while ensuring high-quality food production. Qualifications Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a fine dining or banquet setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and food presentation. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire sta. Experience in inventory control and cost management within a kitchen environment. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks eectively. Strong communication skills to interact with sta, guests, and vendors professionally. A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
