Responsibilities Lead food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff, managing shift schedules, and maintaining a smooth workflow. Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, dietary needs, and current culinary trends while controlling food costs through inventory management. Ensure strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, customer service excellence, and safety practices to foster a motivated and skilled workforce. Experience Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience overseeing culinary teams in high-volume settings such as restaurants or catering services. Extensive banquet experience involving large-scale food service operations for events or conferences. Familiarity with dietary department procedures, including accommodating special dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines. Strong knowledge of inventory management, menu planning, and food service management principles. Hands-on cooking expertise complemented by leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and excellence in service delivery. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience emphasizing food safety standards, catering logistics, and restaurant management.
