Duties Assist in preparing fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Support the chef in food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients with precision and care Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to strict food handling and safety protocols Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring ingredients are stored properly Contribute to menu planning ideas based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Support catering events or special functions by preparing sushi platters and assisting with setup and serving Follow all food industry safety standards, including proper knife skills and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment Experience Previous experience in a culinary setting, particularly in a restaurant or fine dining environment, is preferred Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling is highly valued Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations enhances your candidacy Strong knife skills and proficiency in food safety practices are essential for success in this role Experience working in the food industry or catering environments demonstrates your ability to thrive in fast-paced settings A background in kitchen or restaurant experience that highlights your culinary skills will set you apart Embark on an exciting journey where your culinary talents can flourish!
