Job Description
Indian Cuisine Chef We are seeking an experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team in Los Angeles. As a chef specializing in Indian cuisine, you will be responsible for creating and executing traditional and modern Indian dishes for our restaurant. Your role will also involve managing the kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute authentic Indian dishes, incorporating both traditional and modern techniques
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks as needed
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients to constantly improve menu offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train new kitchen staff on menu items, recipes, and cooking techniques
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients
- Ability to create unique dishes while maintaining authenticity of flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety regulations
