Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi with meticulous attention to detail, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish Develop and execute innovative sushi menus that align with current culinary trends and customer preferences Supervise food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet safety standards and adhere to food handling regulations Manage inventory control for raw fish, rice, seaweed, and other ingredients, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, including coordinating food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and sanitation standards across all aspects of sushi preparation and service Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, catering events, and special banquet functions to deliver exceptional dining experiences Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine Proven supervising experience in fast-paced restaurant or catering environments Strong knowledge of food safety practices and dietary department standards Skilled in food production, kitchen management, and inventory control techniques Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management and shift supervision skills Experience in fine dining settings or upscale restaurants preferred Excellent food handling, cooking, and presentation skills combined with a passion for hospitality Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards in a busy kitchen environment Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your expertise as a Sushi Chef will shine!
