This role is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality sushi items while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment. You will help deliver and exceptional experience by ensuring products are fresh, well-presented, and consistently prepared. Meaningful Commitment Exceptional Service Empowered Team Members Strong Character Essential Job Duties Prepare sushi and related items according to company recipes and quality standards Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated (FIFO) Always maintain clean and organized prep areas Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines Monitor product levels and restock as needed Work efficiently to meet production needs during peak times Communicate with Team members to support smooth operations Assist with receiving and properly storing ingredients Support training of new team members when needed Shifts will consist of morning and mid-shifts (5a-2p, 8a-5p, 9a-6p) Non-Essential Job Duties May perform similar and incidental duties as required by Leadership.
Job Qualifications Education:
High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience:
Sushi experience preferred, and or food prep experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
Knowledge:
Knowledge of all aspects in the restaurant industry. Ability to quickly make and execute decisions regarding food quality, quantity needed, and when to clean. Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards.
Math Skills:
Ability to perform money-related mathematical calculations.
Other:
Individual must have reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
