The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, sushi making, and kitchen operations, contributing to the creation of high-quality sushi dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and work within a vibrant food service setting dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection for sushi offerings Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area Handle food safely and adhere to food safety regulations at all times Prepare ingredients such as fish, rice, vegetables, and garnishes for sushi preparation Support the culinary team in cooking, plating, and serving food items as needed Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed during all stages of meal preparation Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies Contribute to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests by providing excellent service when required Skills Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Strong background in food industry practices, including food safety and handling Culinary experience with a focus on sushi or Asian cuisine preferred Proficiency in menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation Knowledge of catering, serving, and food industry standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction
