We're bringing to the Bay Area the French Fine Pastry experience by creating, producing and sharing our Cakes, Entremets, Viennoiseries and Breads, using the freshest, purest ingredients from France or California. We provide a unique opportunity to learn about French high end techniques in French fine pastries & viennoiseries. The work location is full fletched new French "Parisian" style "laboratory" as one would find at the best in class pastry shops & brands in Paris. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to elevate our culinary offerings with innovative and beautifully crafted pastries. In this role, you will bring your extensive pastry experience to create delectable desserts, masterful cake decorating, and exquisite baked goods that delight our customers. Your culinary expertise will ensure the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and flavor, contributing to an exceptional dining or retail experience. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and confections with precision and artistic flair production of cakes using advanced cake decorating techniques to produce visually & delicate stunning creations Finishing team (in alternate with production team)
About You:
We're looking for a Pastry Chef to collaborate with our Pastry team in crafting our French Fine Pastry recipes that will be churned to-order at our San carlos laboratoire. You're the right member for our team if: Your pastry skills are top-notch and you are passionate about sharing your experience, gaining new expertise, not afraid of hard work and, You see fine pastry & baking as art and notice the nuances of when it is served with pride & when it is not You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment You think on your feet, collaboratively and solve problems quickly (we are all to join our efforts together !) You're eager for your voice to be positively heard and want to collaborate with the team in a new endeavor You're inspired by and committed to furthering both traditional Fine Pastries as well as our seasonal offering & creations, and handcrafted fine pastries. You will bring modernity & new ideas ! We love to create beautiful products ! Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience in food preparation, with a focus on pastry Leadership Experience - experience leading small groups (2-3 members) Strong culinary skills including baking, cake decorating, and food production Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Customer service experience in a catering or restaurant setting Knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety practices
