Job Description
Job Details Simmr is a premium Indian cooking bases brand launching at Bay Area farmers markets in Summer 2026. Founded by a Culinary Institute of America-trained food scientist, we make restaurant-quality Indian cooking accessible for busy home cooks. Think Rao's Homemade, but for Indian food. We're looking for a skilled chef to join us for recipe development and weekly farmers market cooking. Responsibilities Develop and refine cooking base formulations in collaboration with the founder Cook and serve product at farmers markets in the Bay Area Maintain detailed, reproducible recipe documentation with gram-weight measurements Understand and work within the nutritional profile of each product being developed Balance and adjust flavor across multiple SKUs to ensure consistency and authenticity Execute large-quantity cooking with precision and professionalism Requirements Professional kitchen experience with a strong background in Indian cuisine, specifically large-batch cooking in a restaurant environment Ability to document recipes with accuracy and rigor Comfortable working in a commercial kitchen setting Detail-oriented with good palate for spice balance, depth, and regional Indian flavor profiles Valid U.S. work authorization required Must be able to travel to San Francisco Available to start immediately ServSafe Certified
