We are seeking an experienced Chef / Kitchen Manager who is passionate about Mexican cuisine, team development, food quality, and kitchen operations. Position Summary The Chef / Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining food safety standards, controlling labor and food costs, and leading a high-performing kitchen team. Responsibilities Manage daily kitchen operations and staff scheduling. Train, coach, and develop kitchen employees. Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards. Maintain compliance with health, sanitation, and food safety regulations. Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste control. Order and receive products from vendors. Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional work environment. Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed. Collaborate with management to improve kitchen performance and guest satisfaction. Address employee performance issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of kitchen management or chef experience. Experience in Mexican cuisine preferred. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Food Handler and Manager Certification preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Performance bonus opportunities.
