This role will assist the Executive Sushi Chef with daily preparation and sushi bar service in a high-end omakase setting. This is a strong opportunity to learn directly from an acclaimed Sushi Chef from Tokyo, Japan. Formal sushi apprenticeship is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Executive Sushi Chef with preparation and service Support sushi bar operations during omakase service Prepare ingredients with precision and consistency Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards Work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team

Qualifications:

Proven professional kitchen experience Experience in high-end dining environments preferred Background in multiple cooking styles (e.g., tempura, grill, hot kitchen) Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team Strong work ethic and attention to detail Passion for Japanese cuisine
