TMNT Pizzeria is an immersive dining concept inspired by the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, located in Santa Monica. The restaurant brings together authentic New York-style pizza, high-quality ingredients, and a vibrant, themed atmosphere that celebrates the Turtles' love of great pizza. Designed to be both fun and welcoming, TMNT Pizzeria offers guests a memorable experience that blends great food, nostalgic design elements, and a lively environment for fans, families, and visitors alike.Role Overview:
The Lead Pizza Maker supports the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensures consistency in food preparation and service. This role works hands-on during service and helps lead the kitchen team when the Head Chef is not present. The Lead Pizza Maker reports directly to the Head Pizza Maker/Executive Chef.Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily kitchen production and service execution. Ensure recipes, portioning, and food presentation meet company standards. Monitor kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices. Support inventory management and food ordering. Assist with labor management and scheduling. Leadership /Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise kitchen staff during service when the Head Chef is not present. Assist with staff training and development. Support kitchen operations during high-volume service periods.Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of kitchen experience. At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead cook role. Valid California ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. Must be able to successfully pass a background check screening as a condition of employment.Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary education or formal training. Experience working in high-volume restaurants.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended shifts (8-12 hours). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive kitchen tasks.Skills & Competencies:
Strong teamwork and communication skills. Leadership and kitchen management abilities. Attention to detail and food quality standards.Pay:
