Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work station in compliance with health and safety regulations Source fresh ingredients daily, ensuring quality and freshness for all sushi offerings Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and ensure timely delivery of dishes Innovate new sushi recipes and menu items to keep offerings exciting and aligned with current culinary trends Educate team members on proper sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages Uphold high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene throughout all stages of food preparation Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar environment Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu development, plating presentation, and culinary innovation is highly desirable Familiarity with working in diverse team settings and providing excellent customer service Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic Japanese cooking methods Join us to bring artistry and excellence to every plate!
