The Chef leads daily kitchen operations with a focus on authentic Italian cooking techniques, scratch-made dishes, and consistent execution. This role oversees menu production, quality control, kitchen organization, and team leadership to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This is not a desk job. Duties Prepare and oversee production of pasta, sauces, proteins, pizzas, and regional Italian specialties using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients. Ensure every dish meets recipe standards, portioning, plating guidelines, and brand expectations. Train, coach, and supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and dish staff; maintain a positive and efficient kitchen culture. Uphold all health department regulations, maintain proper labeling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Conduct ordering, receiving, and inventory counts; minimize waste and manage food cost targets. Collaborate with management on daily specials, pasta features, and menu improvements aligned with Italian culinary traditions. Ensure all stations are prepped, stocked, and operating smoothly during service. Work closely with FOH to maintain timing, communication, and guest satisfaction. Qualifications Minimum 3 years working in an Italian Kitchen Formal culinary education preferred but not required with strong experience. Strong proficiency in prep, butchery, and fine slicing. Ability to execute fresh pasta, risotto, classic sauces, and regional Italian preparations. Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and calm. ServSafe Manager certification preferred.
Pay:
$71,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
