Full Job Description Job Summary:
This position will oversee the preparing, seasoning, and cooking of dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in the restaurant. May order supplies, keep records and accounts, price items on menu, or plan menu and provide departmental training and development and maintain employee related suggestion and recognition programs. TASKS Mentor, train and guide team members in food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures. Supervise participate and maintain kitchen hygiene standards to ensure Leoness Cellars meets and exceeds Health Dept. codes at all times. Monitor and report any action, equipment or issue which could cause a safety violation or cause injury to Team Members. Control inventories of raw, manufactured and dry ingredients, equipment levels, small wares and liquor and report any or all shortages or discrepancies to management. Purchase and/or requisition appropriate supplies and equipment required by business needs to ensure quality delivery of products and services in an efficient manner and/ or timeframe. Observe, evaluate, direct and monitor team members, work practices and procedures to ensure quality standards and service are consistently met and achieved as per direction by management. Complete disciplinary actions as required or directed by management. Specify and maintain food portions and production timelines. Forecast staff schedules, equipment, and supply requirements based upon current business levels. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Maintain paperwork in accordance with company policies. Delegate and assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to team members in accordance with daily/weekly or monthly business needs/ levels Perform personnel actions, such as providing employee orientation and training, and conducting supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee time sheets. Protect and maintain at all times the assets of the company. Represent the values and traditions of Leoness Cellars at all times while in uniform both on and off property.
