The RoleWe are seeking a talented and passionate Chef Manager to lead our kitchen operation at Martletts. This role blends leadership with hands-on delivery, covering both resident dining and the on-site café.While the current schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, the role operates on a 5 out of 7 rota. There is a dedicated weekend chef in place, so the majority of shifts will remain weekday-focused, with occasional flexibility required.

A key part of this role is the ability to confidently deliver Level 4 puréed meals, ensuring all dietary and texture-modified requirements are met to the highest standard.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and oversee the production of all meals to the highest standardsDeliver safe, appetising, and nutritionally balanced meals, including Level 4 puréed dietsManage the day-to-day café operation alongside resident dining servicesLead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily serviceEnsure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulationsManage stock, ordering, and budgets effectivelyDevelop and adapt menus to meet residents' dietary needs and preferencesMaintain excellent standards of food presentation and portion controlThe Ideal CandidateProven experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef, ideally within care, senior living, or hospitalityStrong understanding and experience with texture-modified diets (Level 4 purée essential)A hands-on leader with excellent team management skillsStrong organisational and communication abilitiesExperience managing both retail/café and dining service operations is desirableFlexible and adaptable to a 5/7 working patternPassionate about delivering high-quality food in a caring environmentWhat We OfferWe ensure you\'re rewarded for all your hard work, which is why we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to:
