This role includes a little bit of everything: prep, cooking, plating, dishwashing, cleaning, and supporting service during busy tea times and events. We are a collaborative tearoom environment that values hospitality, teamwork, creativity, and consistency. The right person is willing to jump in wherever needed, takes pride in their work, and understands that every detail matters. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble menu items according to recipes and standards Assist with cooking, baking, prep work, and service execution Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen Wash dishes and support overall kitchen flow Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work efficiently with a small team in a collaborative environment Take direction well while also being capable of stepping into a leadership role when needed Help maintain a positive, professional kitchen culture Assist with event prep and themed tea services Qualifications Current Food Manager Certification preferred, or willingness to become certified Strong attention to detail and consistency Flexible availability, including weekends Ability to multitask and adapt throughout the workday Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Dependable and trustworthy Comfortable performing all kitchen tasks, from prep work to dishes Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is willing to jump in wherever needed and takes pride in helping the team succeed. This is a position of trust within a small team, so reliability, communication, and professionalism are essential. Experience in food service is preferred, but attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well with others matter just as much.
