We take pride in creating high-quality ice cream, desserts, and memorable experiences for our customers. We are looking for an experienced and creative Pastry Chef who is passionate about desserts, innovation, and working in a fast-paced environment. This role goes beyond baking. We are looking for someone who can help us elevate our dessert program by creating beautiful cakes, developing new products, and maintaining production levels that support both our retail stores and online orders. Position Overview The Pastry Chef will be responsible for producing and decorating cakes, maintaining inventory, fulfilling website orders, and helping develop new dessert concepts that incorporate our ice cream products. This position requires someone who is highly organized, efficient, and able to keep up with the demands of multiple locations while maintaining consistency and quality. Key Responsibilities Cake Production & Decorating Produce cakes to support all 7 Heaven Creamery locations. Decorate cakes according to company standards and custom customer requests. Ensure all cakes are visually appealing, consistent, and high quality. Prepare cakes in a timely manner for both store and online orders. Manage cake inventory while avoiding overproduction and underproduction. Product Innovation Create new desserts and menu items using Heaven's ice cream products. Experiment with seasonal flavors and limited-time offerings. Develop unique products that align with Heaven's brand and customer experience. Collaborate with leadership to introduce new concepts throughout the year. Production & Operations Keep up with the production demands of 7 store locations. Fulfill website and online orders accurately and on time. Coordinate production schedules with weekly store needs. Maintain organized freezer inventory and production systems. Assist with planning and forecasting inventory needs. Food Safety & Quality Control Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Ensure products meet Heaven's quality standards before leaving the kitchen. Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products. Qualifications Required 3+ years of pastry, baking, or cake decorating experience. Experience working in a high-volume bakery, pastry shop, restaurant, or dessert production environment. Strong cake decorating and piping skills. Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Experience creating desserts that incorporate ice cream, gelato, or frozen desserts. Experience with menu development and product innovation. Experience managing inventory and production planning. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
