Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in food preparation, knife skills, and culinary techniques will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience by combining traditional Japanese artistry with innovative flavor combinations. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation. Handle all aspects of food preparation including slicing fish, assembling rolls, and garnishing plates for visual appeal. Manage kitchen stations efficiently during service hours to ensure timely delivery of dishes without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols within the kitchen environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within fine dining or Japanese cuisine establishments. Strong knife skills with the ability to expertly slice fish and vegetables for sushi preparation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Experience in menu planning and creating innovative sushi offerings that appeal to diverse tastes. Background in food industry settings such as restaurants or catering services, with a focus on food preparation and service. Excellent culinary skills with an emphasis on precision, presentation, and flavor balance.
