Job Description

Sous Chef SoupSmith Louisville, CO Job Details Full-time $62,000 - $70,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Food provided Qualifications Food waste mitigation Teamwork Team development FIFO Patience Full Job Description Who We Are SoupSmith and Salt & Vinegar are two scratch-made, ingredient-driven concepts in the heart of the Relish Pickleball and Food Hall facility — a one-of-a-kind space combining a vibrant pickleball facility with seven independent restaurant stalls. SoupSmith is our soup-centric concept built around slow-simmered stocks and soups, premium sandwiches, and twice-baked potatoes. Salt & Vinegar leans into elevated salads, charcuterie boards, rotisserie chicken, and premium sandwiches. We take our food seriously, have a lot of fun doing it, and we're growing. The Role We're looking for a talented, motivated Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-moving, high-quality environment and takes genuine pride in every plate. You'll work directly with our leadership team across both concepts — helping manage daily kitchen operations, maintain our standards, develop seasonal menus, and lead a small, tight-knit culinary team. This is not a corporate kitchen. You'll have real input into what we make and how we make it. What You'll Do Oversee daily kitchen operations across both concepts, maintaining our standards for quality, consistency, and presentation Foundational prep for both restaurants as well as overseeing staff during service, creating a positive and accountable team culture Manage prep, inventory, and food rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness Contribute creative ideas to seasonal menu development — we want your voice in the kitchen Enforce food safety and sanitation standards without exception Support new menu rollouts and ensure consistency across every dish, every shift What We're Looking For Genuine passion for food and ingredients — you care about where things come from and how they're treated Experience in a quality-focused kitchen environment, food hall, or similar fast-paced setting Strong leadership presence — you lead by example and make people around you better Organized and calm under pressure — you can manage multiple moving parts without losing your standards Creative and collaborative — you have ideas and you're not afraid to share them Knowledge of food safety, FIFO, and proper kitchen protocols Why Join Us Two distinct, ingredient-driven concepts to work across — no two days are the same Real creative input into menu development A growing operation with room to grow with it A fun, energetic environment inside one of Colorado's most unique food and entertainment venues Leadership that values your expertise and actually listens
