Responsibilities Lead the sushi kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, presentation, and quality control to maintain excellence in every dish served Supervise and mentor sushi chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment Manage inventory control for seafood, rice, seaweed, and other ingredients essential for sushi production, ensuring freshness and cost efficiency Develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques to keep the dining experience exciting Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and dietary guidelines to promote a safe dining environment Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service during all shifts, including catering events and banquets involving sushi stations Oversee kitchen scheduling, shift management, and training programs to optimize productivity and staff development Qualifications Extensive culinary experience with a strong focus on sushi preparation, fine dining standards, and Japanese cuisine Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or banquet setting with team management responsibilities Knowledge of food industry best practices related to food safety, handling, inventory management, and kitchen operations Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop culinary teams effectively Experience in menu planning, food production, catering, and restaurant management is highly desirable Familiarity with banquet experience and dietary department protocols is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control Join us as an Executive Sushi Chef where your culinary artistry will inspire excellence!
