General Extensive culinary and hospitality knowledge with strong leadership and client-facing communication skills Up to date food handler s certificate Able to lift 50+ lbs. and stand for extended periods of time Passionate about providing exceptional client experiences and award-winning culinary execution Strong multitasking abilities with the ability to lead tastings and kitchen prep with a calm, positive demeanor Professional appearance and confident communication skills when interacting with clients Hold self and others to high culinary and service standards Begin Lead and Commander Chef Training after 3 months of employment Event Tasting Execution Lead preparation, cooking, and presentation of client tastings with exceptional quality and presentation Execute assigned tastings flawlessly while showcasing Footers Catering culinary standards Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef to customize tasting menus based on client preferences Maintain detailed tasting notes, recipes, and execution standards to ensure event consistency Assist with prep, organization, and execution of tasting events from start to finish Menu Knowledge & Culinary Development Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Footers Catering menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles Collaborate with culinary leadership to develop customized tasting menus and showcase new menu ideas Continuously refine recipes and presentations based on client feedback, culinary trends, and seasonal ingredient availability Support innovation and creativity within the culinary department on our Menu Innovation Team Training & Team Development Train and mentor future tasting chefs on preparation speed, presentation standards, and client interaction Assist with ongoing culinary training and development for tasting and event teams Conduct regular coaching and support to ensure consistency and quality standards are upheld Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement Lead by example through professionalism, organization, and positive leadership Client Interaction & Relationship Building Interact directly with clients during tastings to explain menu selections, flavor profiles, and culinary techniques Provide personalized recommendations and exceptional hospitality throughout the tasting experience Build strong client relationships through attention to detail and high-level service Execute high-profile marketing events, bridal shows, and showcase events with elevated presentation and professionalism Represent the Footers Catering brand with confidence and enthusiasm Operational Support Assist with prep kitchen organization and cleanliness before and after tastings and events Support accurate recipe documentation and prep systems to ensure successful event execution Maintain organized culinary workspaces, equipment, and tasting supplies Help ensure all tasting and event materials are properly prepared and communicated to onsite teams Hours Typically, Monday-Friday with some weekend shifts based on tasting schedule and event needs Average of 1 event per week
