- Banquets & Events for our newly reopened Downtown Hartford location.
This position will play a key role in building and growing our private dining, banquet, and event business while supporting daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and hospitality at every event. From intimate private dinners to weddings, corporate functions, and large celebrations, this role is responsible for ensuring every event is executed with consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Lead banquet and private event food production and execution Coordinate event preparation, staffing, and service with culinary leadership Manage prep schedules and production timelines for upcoming events Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency standards Assist with ordering, inventory management, and food cost controls Train, mentor, and develop cooks and kitchen team members Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Support restaurant operations during non-event periods Help develop systems, organization, and procedures as the banquet program grows Qualifications 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience preferred Banquet, catering, hotel, country club, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience with ordering, inventory, and scheduling preferred Positive attitude and team-first mentality Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands What We're Looking For We're looking for a chef who enjoys both leadership and execution.
