Our space blends relaxed sophistication with warm hospitality, inventive cuisine, and genuine human connection. This is an opportunity to help shape a hospitality brand centered around connection, creativity, and wellness. Opening Summer 2026 Sage + Sound Table is seeking a visionary and highly skilled Head Chef to lead the culinary program of our wellness-focused, community-driven restaurant concept. This leader will be responsible for shaping and executing a menu that reflects our philosophy of joyful wellness — food that is vibrant, thoughtful, ingredient-driven, and deeply satisfying. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations while fostering a culture of creativity, consistency, and excellence. This is both a creative and operational leadership role for a chef who believes food should nourish the body while bringing people together in a meaningful, joyful way. Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership Lead the culinary vision, execution, and consistency of the kitchen Develop seasonal menus aligned with brand values of wellness, creativity, and joy Continuously evolve offerings to keep the menu dynamic, interesting, and relevant Ensure every dish reflects high standards of flavor, presentation, and intention Kitchen Operations Oversee all BOH operations including prep, line execution, inventory, ordering, and scheduling Maintain cost controls, food cost targets, and waste management systems Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations Build and maintain systems that support consistency and efficiency Team Leadership & Culture Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team Foster a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and collaboration Inspire creativity while maintaining discipline and operational excellence Lead by example with calm authority and consistency under pressure Collaboration & Brand Alignment Work closely with General Manager and ownership to align culinary and brand vision Collaborate on menu engineering, specials, and guest experience initiatives Support brand storytelling through food innovation and presentation Contribute to a culture of hospitality that extends from kitchen to guest Qualifications 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience (Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or equivalent) Experience in upscale casual, wellness-forward, or ingredient-driven concepts preferred Strong technical culinary skills with a focus on seasonal, fresh cuisine Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire kitchen teams Strong operational understanding of food cost, labor, and systems management Calm, decisive leadership style with attention to detail Passion for wellness, hospitality, and community-centered dining Sage + Sound is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.
