We are an upscale Italian restaurant focused on high-quality ingredients and elevated, authentic cuisine. We are in an exciting phase of growth and refinement, looking to bring a higher level of precision, consistency, and structure to our kitchen operations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strong, hands-on Head Chef to help lead this evolution. This role is ideal for a chef who thrives both on the line and in building systems—someone who can elevate standards, implement consistency, and develop a disciplined, high-performing kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work the line during service, leading by example and maintaining control of execution
  • Establish and enforce standards for consistency, plating, and quality
  • Develop, refine, and standardize recipes across the menu
  • Bring structure, organization, and accountability to kitchen operations
  • Execute and manage high-volume services (up to 400 covers per shift)
  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage all kitchen staff positions
  • Build and maintain a strong, reliable kitchen team
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to meet fine dining expectations
  • Implement systems for prep, service flow, and quality control
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times
  • Collaborate on menu development and seasonal updates Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost management
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in upscale or high-volume environments
  • Strong foundation in Italian cuisine preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams and improve kitchen consistency
  • Experience hiring and managing full kitchen staff
  • Comfortable leading both on the line and at a management level
  • Strong leadership, communication, and accountability skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
