Job Description

We are a high volume restaurant and looking for the following criteria: An excellent record of kitchen management, communication, and strong leadership skills with close attention to detail
  • Providing nutritious and locally sourced food seasonally
  • Capable of planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the work of employees while ensuring quality and consistency in preparation of all food items and guest relations
  • Be able to stay relevant with current as well as up-and-coming cooking trends and best practices
  • Develop seasonal & specialty event menus, modify or create new ones (plan, prepare, & execute) while meeting food quality standards
  • Create and standardize recipes
  • Design food presentation aesthetics
  • Required to prepare meals & delegate work to kitchen staff during the restaurants' busy times
  • Control labor and operating expenses through budgeting, and purchasing decisions
  • Responsible for food orders
  • Inventory and production record controls
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Shared responsibility in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and managing BOH personnel
  • Responsible for performance reviews, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen
  • Understanding of BOH control systems & basic computing software such as Microsoft excel and word
  • Capable of working well under pressure situations while keeping a positive attitude
  • 55-60 hour work week. Competitive compensation is based on experience and work ethic. Required Qualifications
  • Degree in culinary arts or related certificate, or proven working experience as Head Chef.
  • Serv-Safe certified
  • Stable history with previous employment
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and motivated with an attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality / Food Service accounting degree, background, or previous experience
