Jun 19, 2026 Be an early applicant Required Years of Experience 5 years Job Details Two-time James Beard Award winning restaurateur Stephen Starr, is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to takeover the kitchen of his $15M+ prolific Japanese restaurant MAKOTO, located in picturesque Bal Harbour FL. At STARR Restaurants the Executive Chef is a leader in one of the most dynamic and diverse collection of high-end, high-volume restaurants in the country. The Executive Chef works as part of the management team of the restaurant to build sales and grow the business through moments that surprise, details that delight and flavors that linger long after the last plate is cleared. Job Details You will be the operational steward of the kitchen, responsible for maintaining food quality, menu integrity, and strong systems — while fostering a culture where team members feel supported, motivated, and set up to succeed.
Key areas of ownership include:
