We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. In this position, you will be overseeing Food Production Operations for our restaurant, Cove Kitchen + Bar, our bar kitchen, Tiki Grill, and on-site banquet catering. You will be the team leader and daily operational manager to your staff. Executive Chef Requirements and Qualifications Proven experience as a Head Chef. Proficient knowledge of Food Safety requirements and controls. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel) Knowledge of Hotschedules is a plus. Knowledge of inventory software is a plus. Excellent leadership, team building and management skills. The ability to positively encourage and mentor staff. Well-rounded knowledge of Food Costing and Labor Management Excellent Communication Skills. Job Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Overseeing the daily kitchen operations. Manage daily Kitchen Checklists and Procedures. Hire, train and schedule all kitchen staff. Coordinate food orders, supervise prep and cooking. Ensure food consistency, proper plating, and portion control. Manage and maintain good ticket times. Enforce strict health, sanitation and safety standards. Manage food costs and reduce waste. Manage labor and maintain proper staffing. Maintain a clean kitchen and keep equipment in good working condition.
Salary and Company Benefits:
Salary based upon prior experience; annual salary ranges from $70,000. Health, Dental and Vision Benefits, Paid Vacation Time, 401(K) Matching Complimentary Parking Physical requirements include but are not limited to: Frequent sitting, standing, walking and regular use of a computer, radio and phone.
