Sushi Maki, South Florida's award-winning leader in Japanese cuisine, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Chef to join our team. With a commitment to freshness, quality, and innovation, we offer a modern, environmentally conscious sushi experience across South Miami, Dadeland, Coconut Grove, Kendall, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as washing, chopping, and portioning food items, following established recipes and guidelines. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and handle food storage in accordance with safety regulations. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Knowledge of proper storage methods for raw fish and seafood to maintain freshness and quality. Familiarity with Asian vegetables, herbs, and specialty sauces used in hot dishes preparation. Adherence to food safety protocols, especially regarding raw seafood. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service times. Manage kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations. Lead by example - guide and inspire your team to uphold our core values:

Qualifications:
Experience:
No prior experience required, but must have knowledge of food and basic cooking concepts, particularly related to hot food preparation and Asian cuisine.
