Sushi Cook City Oyster and Sushi Bar - Delray Beach, FL Ready to roll with the best? City Oyster and Sushi Bar is looking for a skilled Sushi Cook to join our high-volume, fast-paced kitchen in beautiful Delray Beach! Apply In Person Come by Monday-Friday, 2 PM - 5 PM Ask for Chef Jordan or a chef on duty to apply and interview on the spot! Pay & Perks $22/hr - Based on Experience Full Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Dining Discounts Full-Time Opportunities Available What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of sushi preparation experience Ability to work weekends is a must Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and presentation Strong attention to detail and teamwork Key Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi including maki, nigiri, and sashimi Select and prep fresh ingredients like avocado, mango, carrots , and more Add flavor using ingredients like ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce as needed Cook sushi rice and manage other prep tasks Follow recipes and chef instructions accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Ensure food is served on time and meets quality standards Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen atmosphere Requirements & Skills Experience as a Sushi Cook or in an Asian restaurant Strong knowledge of sushi types and rolling techniques Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume setting Availability for weekend and evening shifts Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Physically capable of tasks such as walking, stooping, lifting, and handling materials If you're passionate about sushi and thrive in a high-energy kitchen, we want to meet you!
