Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team in a fine dining establishment. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling waste, and minimizing food costs Support menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team to keep offerings innovative and appealing Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure timely service during busy periods Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to ensure guest safety Coordinate with the dietary department for special dietary needs and accommodate dietary restrictions seamlessly Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring high standards of presentation and service excellence Supervise team members by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment Monitor food production processes to optimize efficiency while upholding the highest culinary standards Skills Extensive experience in food production, kitchen management, and restaurant operations Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership capabilities Background in fine dining establishments or similar high-end hospitality environments Knowledge of inventory control, food safety protocols, and dietary requirements Skilled in menu planning, food handling, catering coordination, and shift management Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines Strong team management abilities with effective communication skills Familiarity with food service management systems and inventory management tools Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Passion for hospitality excellence combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving Join us as a Sous Chef where your culinary talent will shine!
