Job Description

Ola Gelato is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about high-quality desserts, organized production, and leading a small team in a fast-paced, growing gelato company. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily gelato and pastry production, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency Assist with and manage production scheduling to meet daily and weekly demand Help plan and execute production batches based on orders and forecasts Manage inventory of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods Coordinate ordering of supplies and communicate with vendors as needed Supervise and support production staff, including training, task delegation, and quality control Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards (HACCP practices) Ensure all recipes and procedures are followed accurately and consistently Assist in developing new flavors and seasonal product ideas when needed Help optimize workflow and reduce waste in production Requirements Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Production Chef, or similar role in a kitchen or dessert production facility Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities (production, staff, inventory, scheduling) Attention to detail and commitment to product consistency Experience working in a high-volume or wholesale food production environment is a plus Basic knowledge of inventory systems and ordering processes Team player with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
