Izakaya Ko is a modern Japanese gastropub located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, specializing in yakitori, sushi, and chef-driven omakase. As part of Pearl Hospitality Group, we are focused on delivering high-quality food, strong team culture, and opportunities for growth.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Sushi Chef with experience preparing nigiri and sashimi in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends and thrive in a team-oriented kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Prepare nigiri, sashimi, and other sushi items with precision and consistency Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness Properly handle and store fish and ingredients Work efficiently during high-volume service Collaborate with kitchen and sushi team to ensure smooth operations Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Requirements:
Experience preparing nigiri and sashimi required Strong knife skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude Reliable and punctual Availability for at least 2 shifts per week (flexible scheduling)
