Role Description This is an on-site, full-time Omakase Sous Chef role located in Miami, FL. The Omakase Sous Chef will assist with the preparation and presentation of high-quality Japanese-style Omakase dishes, ensuring the highest level of care and creativity. This role involves managing daily kitchen operations, sourcing premium ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Additional responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, collaborating with the executive chef, and upholding safety and hygiene standards while delivering a memorable dining experience. Qualifications Proficiency in Omakase preparation, sushi techniques, and specialty fish cutting Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and the ability to create innovative, high-quality dishes Experience in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control, food cost management, and team supervision Strong attention to detail, precision, and presentation in food preparation Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mentor and collaborate with kitchen staff Formal culinary training or certifications specialized in Japanese cuisine; prior Omakase experience is highly preferred Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality in the kitchen Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and continuously improving culinary expertise Keywords time-and-attendance federated-learning-fl presentations kitchen-dining maintenance-repair-and-operations-mro workspace environment-health-and-safety-hsse hygiene-toiletries inventory-control inventory-management cost-management ecology-environment mentoring training-certification education-training training-and-development culinary-training
