The Opportunity:
Pastry Extern Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who are genuinely passionate about pastry and eager to grow in their pastry career. This externship offers early-stage exposure to a professional kitchen, guided by hands-on learning and mentorship. We value curiosity, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn, along with a sincere interest in developing both craft and professional presence within a luxury hospitality setting. Students still enrolled in university/culinary program : Program dates available from early June through and of August. Please note, housing is not currently provided through the hotel.

June Responsibilities:
Gain exposure to a refined and fast-paced pastry operation, rotating through restaurants, banquets, production, bread, plated desserts, amenities, gelato, and specialty offerings. Work closely with our pastry team, observing, listening, and applying guidance with care and consistency. Support daily pastry operations in alignment with scheduled programming and service needs. Maintain grooming and hygiene standards consistent with a luxury hospitality environment. Contribute to a respectful, focused, and collaborative kitchen culture. Approach each task as an opportunity to learn, refine technique, and build foundational pastry skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrollment in, or recent completion of, a culinary or pastry arts program. Foundational understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling. Ability to follow direction in a professional kitchen environment. Comfort working in a physically active, fast-paced production setting. Availability supporting a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs. Fluency in English and legal authorization to work in the United States. A sincere interest in building a career in pastry arts within a high-volume luxury hospitality setting. A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
