Job Description

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER
Carriage House is a private members' club in Palm Beach, defined by the highest standards of quality, service and design. Inspired by the iconic clubs of London's St. James's and Mayfair, the Club blends European tradition with the sophisticated, playful spirit of Palm Beach — known for its exceptional food and beverage, intimate dining spaces, and immersive member programming. Membership is by invitation only, carefully curated to reflect the Club's character and values.
JOB SUMMARY
The Sous Chef at the Carriage House plays a critical role in supporting the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing kitchen operations. This includes ensuring high standards of food quality, managing the kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized kitchen. The Sous Chef is also responsible for supervising food preparation, ensuring timely service, and stepping into the lead role in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education:
Certification of culinary training is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in a high-volume kitchen and establishment is a plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing the daily kitchen operations, including food production and plating. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to maintain a cohesive and efficient team. Oversee portion control, presentation, and timely execution of dishes during service.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience in a professional kitchen; Fine dining is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in job-related English. Bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), stretching, and repetitive motions.

Hourly Pay rate + gratuity
