Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef / Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Assist in menu planning and food presentation to enhance guest satisfaction and uphold the restaurant's culinary vision. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Oversee food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations. Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to deliver exceptional service for special events and large parties. Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, and ensuring efficient shift management. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in banquet operations, catering, and event food production. Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary accommodations for diverse guest needs. Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent team management and communication skills. Knowledge of inventory management, food safety regulations, and kitchen management best practices. Previous restaurant experience emphasizing food service management, menu planning, and shift oversight is essential.
