In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation are consistently met. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging dining experience by combining technical skill with creativity and attention to detail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a lively, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in accordance with health and safety standards Source fresh ingredients daily, ensuring quality and sustainability Develop innovative sushi recipes that excite our guests and keep the menu fresh Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy hours Educate team members on proper sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies to ensure consistent availability of ingredients Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling Experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments with high-volume service Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail Culinary experience that includes working with fresh seafood and specialty ingredients Passion for continuous learning about new sushi trends, techniques, and presentation styles
