Responsibilities Prepare a wide range of pastries, cakes, tarts, and other baked goods with attention to detail and presentation. Decorate cakes and desserts using various techniques to meet aesthetic standards. Assist in food production and food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods. Package baked goods carefully for retail sale or catering orders, ensuring freshness and visual appeal. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings. Handle food ingredients responsibly, following proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety. Skills Proven pastry experience with strong cake decorating skills. Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, shaping, and decorating tasks. Experience in baking, food production, and general kitchen operations within a restaurant or catering environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with team members and guests when needed.
