Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. We specialize in providing high-quality school lunches, meal preparation services, and catering solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. The position is full-time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment. Skillfully prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, strictly following recipes and maintaining high-quality standards. Manage food inventory efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate stock levels. Develop and maintain recipes, ensuring consistency and excellence in all dishes. Monitor and maintain temperature logs, ensuring safe storage and handling of food items. Oversee daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Coordinate and communicate effectively with the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety and emergency procedures Ensure the completion of all assigned tasks daily and communicate your departure with the Chef on duty before leaving.
Qualifications and Skills:
Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred. 5+ years experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
